As the sun shone on his face like a consistent camera flash,
the deviant shadow crept up on him as if to warn him for a second, but then
perform a full on attack. No amount of self-defense or even prayer could save
him at this moment. He reached for his drugs. "Maybe this will get me out
of trouble," he thought. It was no use, for the attack was so fierce that
a trained army would have turned, tucked tail, and ran. It was just him and his
opponent now. Calls from the North could be heard as the onslaught continued,
but they were like whispers to his ears. His cries and bellows never made it to
his throat as he gasped for air, now being strangled by his attacker. His heart
racing and consciousness fading, he reached to save his mind from destruction.
Flailing his arms like a madman he waited until he had no more strength. He was
about to give up, when suddenly he noticed a hole in the attack. A strangle
only works if it has neutralized all other potential weapons. He leaned in
close, right is the deviant one's ear and muttered a phrase only understood by
the two fighters and the heavenlies. He drove his weapon deep into the deviant
one's heart and slid it to his gut. The strangle-hold was still strong and ferocious.
Clouds formed in an instant, and it started to rain. The deviant one knew he
was defeated, but he did not give up. As the rain came down upon our hero's
head, freedom rang across the streets, across the town, across the country! Our
hero had escaped! He lifted his hands up to the sky and received the anointing
of true baptism, refined by fire. The deviant one retreated scared as he knew
he could not continue the battle. No man can touch another man who has been put
through fire and released, coming out on top. The water was still dripping off
our hero's face. The weapon was still impaled in the deviant one's gut. The
water spoke to the hero, saying a sentence that sounded like gibberish, and the
hero cried tears of joy. The weapon spoke to the deviant one, "I am the
struggle. Where you find me, you will find my people. Where you find my people,
you will find the redeemed. Where you find the redeemed... run."
This was inspired by a true story on my way to Liberty Theological Seminary for a preaching class. Along side me were my good friends listed here: Saosin Matisyahu Paramore Bertrand Wallace Crabbe Myself 30 Seconds to Mars Underoath Life in Your Way
And on speed dial: Daneal O'Leary Maureen O'Leary Daniel P. O'Leary, Sr. Mark-E-Cool Navins aka Marky Smokes-Smooth aka The Champ aka The Destroyer of Men's Dreams aka Fairydust Tim Wilken Breanne O'Leary Rodney Jackson aka Blackson aka Dark Vanilla Adam Alberti aka didn't even talk to this guy but he was in the background of almost every conversation I had!
Thanks for your prayers! Peace!

| Well, I finally did it. Frasier (seasons 1,2,&3) is officially consumed here in the O'Leary household... and Daneal even watched about half an episode (including walking in and literally saying the words, "oh man"). So there you have it.
Also, Daneal and I partook a tasty morsel of a movie that should be mandated for all of humanity... this of course is Patch Adams. Fan-fircken-tastic movie. I seriously was grabbed by the movie as I was obliterating Pastor Bert's score on Asteroid and actually had to close the game and watch the movie. Patch's way about life and the quality of it was heartfelt and real. Not to mention that Robin Williams is just plain gold... even if he doesn't know who he is; nevertheless a great actor.
I feel like bowling. Who's with me?

| In a world so cold, how can we not but hope upon the things that bring joy and peace? How can we not love when it is so obvious that it is needed so badly? How can we not pray for the things we are in dire search for when all we have left is that prayer? How can we sit idly in apathy and decide that tomorrow is another day? Probably because we are lazy, and especially because we are spoiled; but especially because we aren't as bold as we claim to be.
And by we, I mean me.
 | Currently Watching The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Four-Disc Special Edition) By Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Tilda Swinton, James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, Kiran Shah, James Cosmo, Judy McIntosh, Elizabeth Hawthorne, Patrick Kake, Shane Rangi, Brandon Cook (III), Cassie Cook, Morris Lupton, Shelly Edwards, Susan Haldane, Margaret Bremner, Jaxin Hall see related |

| Dan: "So I've been watching Frasier a lot lately."
Mark: "Yeah?"
Dan: "Yeah. I got the first 3 seasons on DVD for Christmas."
Mark: "Sweet. Sounds exciting, you being the only one who likes the show and all. Big fan base."
Dan: "Ha! Yeah... well I think maybe my dad likes it, he watches it with me. He may have been pretending though to make me feel better about myself."
Mark: "That's love man, that's love."
